Inspired by his dearly departed dog, Ulysses, his meditations range from personal anecdote — it is a very ‘Paris’ piece of writing — to surveys of classical world literature and the place of the dog therein. Wonderful wooferful stuff. Indeed, I can’t recommend it highly enough. Awoof! Archie
