But then again, are fresh cut flowers in the house really necessary either? Or kisses?!
Suppose it depends on what you consider necessary within any given context. Surely not as necessary as kisses and fresh daily water, but perhaps more necessary than a kick in the kiester!

Dear Howard.
Thank you for commenting. It took me a while to dig it up, but the Dachshund “Home Security System” Doormat is available for purchase for about $17 US dollars from the website www.allpetsconsidered.com.
They say the mat offers an “interactive greeting” for home, offices, and starter mansions (my how dachshund-owners aspire!).
But I should talk! As I live at Chateau d’Archie… or Chateau Numero Deux during the daytime…
