One rather unhappy looking she-dog was captured by local Missouri press on New Year’s Day. Seems her two-legged companion had the bright idea that water-skiing on the “Mighty Mississippi” on New Year’s Day was a good idea.

It was windy and cold in St. Louis, but that didn’t stop U.S. Water Skiing Champion Kevin Day and his trusty dog, Brown Sugar, from braving the cold.

Water-skiing in front of the St. Louis Arch on New Year’s Day has been a tradition for 32 years. This year’s event raised money for the Missouri Disabled Waterski Association.
