It’s a Barking Old World…

How’s this for puppy power? A mayoral candidate in Romania has infuriated local dog lovers by rounding up stray pooches in Bacau and covering them in doggie posters saying ‘Vote for Radu Nicolau.’

Local residents have not been impressed. The beleagured Mr. Nicolau is on record as saying ‘It’s the best way to get my message across’ (as reported in London’s Metro, 30 May 2008, p.22)

Well — barking, maybe. But perhaps they should be impressed with his ingenuity in garnering a free method of advertising! And he obviously has a way with dogs — who as you will know well, won’t let just anybody put clothes on them.

So you never know. He clearly has a way with dogs. And may be a good bet for mayor in the end…
