Good News from Pleasantville (USA)

NBC recently reported the happy/sad story of Tootsie, a red tan dachshund, who was stolen from his family’s yard five long years ago - when he was just a puppy. It was a sad time for all concerned, and needless to say the family had given up all hope of ever seeing his sassy daxie paws again.

But two weeks ago Tootsie was found wandering the streets in one of the rougher areas outside Pittsburgh. (Sadly many dogs are experiencing homelessness in these hard economic times - Awooo!)

Using the microchip implanted in Tootsie’s neck, The Animal Rescue League of Western Pennsylvania traced Tootsie’s original family.

Happy endings and wagging tails all around! Tootsie is now at home in Pleasantville with the family and their other dogs.
