Danish Post Deliver Dog Treats!

Can you believe it!! The national postal service in Denmark armed its postal service with 25 tons of dog treats to help them placate any four-legged adversaries on their routes.

The postal service handed out 3,000 boxes of dog treats to employees last year in an effort to pacify boisterous dogs on delivery routes — which amounted to more than 25 tons of dog treats delivered!

Ebbe Andersen of Post Danmark said that many employees had resorted to carrying the dog biscuits.

The Animal Protection Society came together with the Danish Kennel Club and Post Danmark to produce a video for delivery personnel on how to deal with strange dogs. Lots of good advice was given — along with a whole lot of dog treats.

Sadly, despite the treats and the good advice, 335 Danish post-people were bitten by dogs last year. Awwwoooo!

Let’s hope the Danish post service can make peace with the Danish dogs!
