Dogs do the Red Nose Thing

It’s not just daft and jolly two-leggeds that get involved in Red Nose Day - a large fundraising celebration of all things zany in support of childrens’ charities in the UK. Dogs got stuck in too this year.

A dog parlour in Bucklands Batch, pitched in. Staff at the Groom Room dog parlour gave dogs manicures and also carried out stencilling on some of the dogs who visited the shop last Saturday.

Groom Room owner Carolyn Price and her colleague Emily Harnarayan organised the event and in addition to pampering pooches, gave out balloons to children. Woof!

According to Carolyn “The event was a real success and I think the dogs enjoyed all the attention they got after they had a stencil put on them.”

Donations from the day totalled £107, which will be given to Comic Relief.
