Last year at the world’s largest dog show Cruft’s, there was a new category for winners: the ‘British Dog of the Century’.
And to be perfectly honest (which I do my best, always, to be), it’s a prize that stumps my small doggish mind. Does that mean that it’s only awarded once every hundred years? But then again, every single year will have it’s eventual, logical, predictable centenary. So is it an annual ‘centenary’ award? Grrwwwooooo….
The competition was stiff, with such notable dogs in the running as Dr Who’s K-9, and Dougal from the Magic Roundabout. Also running was Roly the Poodle from EastEnders.
Q: Who won the title as ‘British Dog of the Century’?
Hint: He’s won other awards, and is a canny canine inventor….

Friendly ones. Growling ones. Dark ones. Light ones. Fat ones. Thin ones. Which got me wondering…. What is the greatest number of dogs walked by two-leggeds at the same time?
Hint: If you had a dog for every day of the year it would add up to about a decade of dogs…

Thinking ’bout my birthday - just passed… I wondered whatever happened to my littermates? There were the two Wendys, but I can’t remember the other boy-dogs.. ‘xcept the little one who came when Dave called him, all waggly tailed and knock-kneed. AaaWoooof!
